Electrophoresis Cell for SDS-PAGE and Western Blot

Short Description:

DYCZ-24DN is for protein electrophoresis, while DYCZ-40D is for transfering the protein molecule from the gel to membrane like nitrocellulose membrane in the WesternBlot experiment. Here we have a perfect combination for our customers which can meet the application that experimenter can just use one tank to do gel electrophoresis, and then interchange a electrode module to do a blotting experiment by the same tank DYCZ-24DN. What you need is just a DYCZ-24DN system plus a DYCZ-40D Electrode module that will allow you to switch quickly and easily from one electrophoresis technique to another.

Description

DYCZ-24DN is a vertical electrophoresis cell (tank/chamber) for SDS-PAGE, Native PAGE etc. Protein electrophoresis. This cell can cast and run the gel in the same place. It is delicate and exclusive which is easy and convenient to load the samples. The tank is made of high quality polycarbonate material, which is very durable and transparent. This transparent tank makes it easy to observe the gel when do the experiment. The DYCZ-24DN has removable electrodes that is easy for maintenance. Electrodes are made by pure platinum(≥99.95%) which are electrolysis-corrosion and withstand high temperature.

x1

After gel electrophoresis, according to the experimental requirement, sometimes, the experimenter need to transfer the gel to a solid support for further analysis. It is called blotting experiment, which is a method of transferring proteins, DNA or RNA onto a carrier. It is done after a gel electrophoresis, transferring the molecules from the gel onto the blotting membrane. After the blotting, the transferred proteins, DNA or RNA are then visualized by colorant staining (for example, silver staining of proteins), autoradiographic visualization of radiolabelled molecules (performed before the blot), or specific labeling of some proteins or nucleic acids. The latter is done with antibodies or hybridization probes that bind only to some molecules of the blot and have an enzyme joined to them. After proper washing, this enzymatic activity (and so, the molecules we search in the blot) is visualized by incubation with proper reactive, rendering either a colored deposit on the blot or a chemiluminescent reaction which is registered by photographic film.

Application

For SDS-PAGE, Native PAGE electrophoresis and transfering the protein molecule from the gel to membrane.

Feature

 The DYCZ-24DN mini vertical gel electrophoresis cell for SDS-PAGE, Native PAGE electrophoresis has the following features:

Made of high quality transparent polycarbonate, exquisite and durable, easy for observation;

• With a gel casting in original position, able to cast and run the gel at the same place, simple and convenient to make gels, and save your precious time;

• Special wedge frame design can fix gel room firmly;

• Molded buffer tank equipped pure platinum electrodes;

• Easy and convenient to add samples;

Able to run one gel or two gels at the same time;

• Save buffer solution;

• Special design of the tank avoid buffer and gel leakage;

Removable electrodes, easy to maintain and clean;

• Auto-switch-off when the lid is opened;

The electrode module, also called Supporting body for transfer or electrode assembly is a core part for blotting system DYCZ-40D. It comprises of red and black color parts and red and black electrodes to ensure proper orientation of the gel during the transfer, and an efficient design which simplifies insertion and removal of the gel holder cassettes from the supporting body for transfer (electrode assembly).
