Introduction
The storage proteins contained in seeds can be categorized as albumins, globulins, prolamins, glutelins, and more. The proportion of each protein type varies between species, but in variety identification, the diversity of prolamins (cereal grains) and globulins (legumes) is often considered. Different proteins carry different charges and move at different speeds in an electric field. After electrophoresis, the number, position, and color intensity of protein bands revealed through staining form a “fingerprint” characteristic of the variety, which can be used for variety identification.

Beijing Liuyi Biotechnology also provides gel documentation system for the test. There are three models of gel documentation systems for your choice, WD-9413A, WD-9413B and WD-9413C
These gel documentation systems are all dark chamber designing, and no need dark room for protein and nucleic acid electrophoresis analysis. They are very safe to operate. The focus function of WD-9413B is manual, while the WD-9413A and WD-9413C is autofocus function. Details of these products will be shown in each product introduction in our website.
